Chephren Tour

The “Chephren Tour” is especially designed for individuals or groups with a strong interest in the Pharaonic Era, as well as for those travelers who expect high quality guiding and extensive visits beyond average.

Day 1
Welcome to Egypt

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport our representative will meet and assist you with passport control, customs formalities and handling your luggage. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2
Necropolis of Saqqara, Memphis and Dashur

Visit one of the richest necropolis of Egypt, Saqqara with the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser and study some of the very well preserved tombs of the necropolis and learn about ancient burial customs. Then, enter the Pyramid of Teti and learn about its interior design and complete your visit with the Imhotep-Museum.

After lunch, drive to the pyramids of Dashur for a photo-stop of the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. Then proceed to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt and see the 10m/33ft Colossus of Ramesses II.

Day 3
Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the Great Pyramids of Giza , including the Solar Boat Museum and the Sphinx.

After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum with its rich Pharaonic treasures including those ofTutankhamen and the Royal Mummy Room.

Day 4
Elephantine Island and the Nubian Museum in Aswan

In the early morning, fly to Aswan, visit Elephantine Island and have time to relax while enjoying one of the most scenic and beautiful spots along the Nile from a traditional Egyptian felucca.

In the evening, visit the Nubian Museum, one of the best museums in Egypt.

Day 5
Isis Temple of Philae and the Ancient Granit Quarries of Aswan

In the morning, take a water-cab and visit the very well preserved Isis Temple of Philae. After lunch, pass by the High Dam and the Old Dam for a photo-stop at Lake Nasser and proceed to the Unfinished-Obelisk to learn about great Egyptian architecture and sculpture work. In the early evening, drive to Luxor byTrain.

Day 6
Temples of Karnak and Luxor, the Sound & Light Show

In the morning, start with a guided tour through the Karnak Temple complex. Study such outstanding monuments like the Corridor of Sphinxes, the monumental pylons, the Hypostyle Hall or the Obelisks of Thutmoses III and Hatshepsut. Afterwards continue your tour with a walk through the Luxor Temple.

After lunch, visit the rich and very well displayed Luxor Museum with treasures of the Golden Age of Egypt and in the evening, take a traditional Caleche and ride around the city enjoying the “Luxor City Tour”.

Finally, arrive once more in Karnak Temple and enjoy the most significant Sound & Light Showin the country.

Day 7
Hot-Air Balloon, the Valley of the Kings & the Temple of Hatshepsut

In the early morning, cross the Nile and ride a hot-air balloon over the Valley of the Kings and while enjoying the sunrise above the the desert.

After breakfast, start your day with a photo stop at the impressive Colossi of Memnon. Then proceed to the very rich site of the Valley of the Kings with its numerous Pharaonic tombs and the funeral Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, once known as the “Splendor of Splendors”.

On the way back, stop at the ancient Temple of Pharaoh Mer-en-ptah, who was the first Egyptian king to speak of the people of Israel on his famous stele.

Day 8
Departure Day

After breakfast, be transferred to Luxor International Airport for final departure.

  • Domestic flight from Cairo to Aswan, usually with Egyptair (Economy Class).
  • All airport transfers in Egypt including assistance by our representative.
  • 4 nights stay in Cairo,  1 night stay in Aswan,  2 night stay in Luxor.
  • All mentioned sightseeing tours, including transportation by private modern & tourism-licensed a/c vehicles (according to group size) and professional guiding by a qualified & tourism-licensed Egyptologist (all major languages available).
  • Felucca ride in Aswan.
  • Hot-air balloon ride in Luxor.
  • Admission fees to all mentioned places (app. 150 €).
