Long Nile Cruise

For more than 15 years the long Nile cruisers were not possible. Now finally the chance to enjoy an extended cruiser along the Nile Valley to be introduced not only to a panorama of some if Egypt’s most celebrated sites but also a wide variety of diverse cultural experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1
Welcome to Egypt

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport our representative will meet and assist you with passport control, customs formalities and handling your luggage. Afterwards,Embark Nile cruise.

Day 2
Nile Cruise sightseeing(Pyramids and Museum)

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Solar Boat Museum and the Sphinx.

After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum with its rich Pharaonic treasures from all epochs of the Pharaonic Era including those of Tutankhamen and the Royal Mummy Room (add. admission fee already included).

Night on board.

Day 3
Nile Cruise sailing to Beni Suef

During the day have a chance to relax and enjoy tranquility of the Nile.

After lunch you will have an introduction with your guide about Upper Egypt life .

Day 4
Visit Fayoum sites(Hawara Pyramid and Maydom)

The oasis of Fayyum is one of the most beautiful spots in Egypt. An all-day excursion to it is a remarkable experience for the young and the young in heart!

Day 5
Sail to Minya/Visit Tuna El Gebel and Ashmunein.

Drive south to Nazlet El Abd and visit the tree which bowed down to worship the Lord when he passed by. Then proceed to the city of Ashmonin (formerly called Hermopolis) and visit the ruins of the Roman city and the old basilica that was built in the name of St. Mary.

Day 6
Minya sightseeing (Tel El Amarna and Beni Hassan Tombs).

Start in the early morning and drive to Beni Hassan in the east bank fo the Nile by Minya. Visit the tombs of the local rulers and let the colored relief not only tell you about ancient daily life but also about the political situation of this time.

and afterwards drive to the site of the dramatic city of Akhenaten (Tel Al-Amarna). Learn about the the significance of the city and revive the conflicts and dramas of this rich period of the Egyptian history.

Day7
Nile Cruise sailing to Asyut and Overnight.

Day 8
Sail to Sohag/Visit Abydos

Drive north to Abydos and visit the Temple of Seti I (best known as the “Great Temple of Abydos”) with the famous Abydos King List and

Day9
Nile Cruise sailing to Qena and Overnight.

Have a relaxed day enjoying the beauty of the Nile.

Day 10
Visit Dendera temple/sail to Luxor.

 Move on to the Temple of Hathour in Dendera, one of the iconic Egyptian buildings, as it remains almost intact with roof and columns, under ground crypts and twisting stairways.

Then enjoy sailing to Luxor.

Day 11
Visit Valley of the kings and Hatshepsut Temple.

In the  morning, head to the Valley of the Kings. On your way, make a photo-stop in front of the giant Colossi of  Memnon and hear their story.Inside the Valley of the Kings, follow your guide on a fascinating tour to the afterlife through the miraculous tombs of the kings. Afterwards, visit the “Splendor of Splendors”, the temple of queen Hatshepsut.

Day 12
Visit (karnak& Luxor Temples) Sail to Edfu.

Start your day with an exhaustive walking tour through one of the biggest worshipping sites ever built: The Temples of Karnak and Luxor.

Travel back to the Pharaonic times, when the high priests and thousands of pilgrims from all over the empire gathered here for the magnificent Opet festival. Revive their chants and prayers and imagine them sacrificing and pouring their souls at the feet of Amoun Raa, the God of Gods, the creator of everything.

Then Sail to Edfu.Overnight on board.

Day 13
Visit Edfu and Kom Ombo/ Sail to Aswan.

In the early morning, visit Edfu and visit the most completely preserved temple in Egypt (built between 237 and 57 BC).

After lunch, head back south to the small city of Kom Ombo (some 50km/30mi north of Aswan) and visits the famous Kom Ombo “Double” Temple with courts, halls and sanctuaries duplicated for two sets of gods..

Day 14
Visit Philae, High Dam, and Museum of Nubia

Start your day with the very well preserved Isis Temple of Philae a site as rich in history as in faith – even Napoleon Bonaparte commissioned a graffiti. Hear about the famous myth of Isis, Osiris and Horus

Afterwards, board your water-cab and return to Aswan. On your way, pass by the High Dam and the Old Dam for a short photo-stop.

In the early evening, pay a visit to the probably best displayed museum in the country, the Museum of Nubia.

Day 15
Have a safe trip!

According to your flight be transferred to Aswan International Airport for final departure.
